This web page acknowledges allegiance to the Supreme Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, whose seat of authority is in McAlester, Oklahoma, of which Reverend W. Mark Sexson was the founder and Mrs. Marie Renda (2006-2008) is Supreme Worthy Advisor, and to the Grand Jurisdiction of Texas of which Mrs. Marlene Dibrell, is our Supreme Deputy, and Sister Shelley Ashcraft (2007-2008) is our Grand Worthy Advisor.

History:
In the high school cafeteria on the night of August 4, 1966 a new assembly was born into the family of Texas Rainbow - Pearland Assembly #337. Thanks to Mrs. Martha Marie Whitfield, who was at that time Supreme Faith and Supreme Inspector in Texas, as well as other dedicated adults, forty girls were initiated at the first meeting of Pearland Assembly. Linda Maness served as Pearland's very first Worthy Advisor. Mrs. Betty Warner fulfilled the office of Mother Advisor for the year and she eventually became the first Adult Grand Appointment from Pearland, serving as Grand Visitor.
In 1968, Pearland Assembly was honored with its first Grand Appointment: Debbie Leazer Coleman was appointed Junior Member of the Grand Music Committee. During the 1960's and the 1970's the Assembly grew and prospered. The girls of Pearland Assembly welcomed many new sisters during this era. Pearland Assembly participated actively in all area functions, as well as hosting socials, charity projects, and financial projects.
In 1974, Pearland Assembly was thrilled to have Robbie Gail Charefte Owsley elected to the office of Grand Faith. In 1.976, Robbie served as Grand Worthy Associate Advisor. In 1980, Pearland received its first Grand Floor Appointment. Regina Winkler McDonald served as Grand Nature in 1981. The late 1980's were a low point in the history of Pearland Rainbow.
The Assembly took a vote in 1987, deciding whether or not to go dark. Because of their determination and dedication, the members decided to endeavor to bring Pearland back to life. Indeed, their hard work paid off as a period of tremendous growth began in the early 1990's. During this era of prosperity, Pearland has been honored with visits from almost every Grand Worthy Advisor and a special visit from Mrs. Pearl Mills, Supreme Drill Leader and Supreme Inspector in Texas.
At the 70th session of Texas Rainbow in 1994, Georgeanne McLean was elected to Grand Faith and served as Grand Charity in 1997. The 1997 Grand Assembly was special for Pearland because the Assembly not only received a Grand Appointment, but also Shauna McLean was elected to the office of Grand Charity and Jennifer Harris was elected to the office of Grand Treasurer.
Pearland is proud to have been the home of four
elected Grand Officers, four Grand Floor Appointments, 13 Grand Representatives,
5 Junior Members of Grand Committees and 2 Adult Grand Officers as well as over
350 Rainbow girls during the past 30 years! As Pearland celebrates the 30th
Anniversary of its Constituting this year, the young women of the Assembly
remember those who have gone before and paved the road which leads to the Pot of
Gold. Today, Pearland Assembly boasts a full corps of officers and a choir. The
Rainbow sparkles in Pearland during this Diamond Jubilee Celebration!
